Bar Manager

Job Responsibilities

Bar Program Development

• Create and maintain a well-balanced, American-inspired cocktail menu aligned with Baro’s bakery identity.

• Maintaining and developing the current recipes, SOPs, garnish standards, and visual presentation guidelines.

Daily Operations

• Oversee all bar opening & closing procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a smooth workflow.

• Conduct daily pre-service briefings with the bar team.

• Ensure every drink meets Baro’s quality and consistency standards.

Financial & Inventory Management

• Manage beverage cost (target COGS 20–25%).

• Conduct weekly inventory and stock ordering.

• Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing.

• Prepare bar-related financial reports and performance updates.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate bartenders and barbacks.

• Provide training on cocktail techniques, guest service, and product knowledge.

• Create a positive, disciplined, and growth-oriented bar culture.

Guest Experience

• Maintain warm, welcoming service that aligns with Baro’s hospitality philosophy.

• Engage with guests and gather feedback to refine the bar program.

• Support service during busy periods and special events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a bar management or head bartender role.

• Strong knowledge of American classics, modern cocktails, and flavor pairing.

• Experience creating cocktail programs from scratch is a major advantage.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage costs, inventory, and supplier relationships.

• Creative mindset with attention to detail in both flavor and presentation.

• English proficiency required; Indonesian language is a plus.
