Coding Instructor

Role Descriptions

• This is a full-time on-site Coding Instructor position available at The Lab Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia.

• We are looking for a Coding Instructor to teach our coding classes to the next generation of coders, particularly those aged 5 to 16.

• To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about teaching and coaching students, and you will collaborate closely with other teachers to ensure that all courses adhere to the company's SOP.

Responsibilities

1. Encourage children's enthusiasm in coding / robotics and teach them new skills.

2. Adhere to The Lab Indonesia's standard operating procedures and instructional guidelines.

3. Provide feedback to help kids develop their coding talents.

4. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress.

5. Attend the planned staff meetings and training sessions.

6. Possibility to teach extracuricular at The Lab's school partners.

Qualifications

1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar or other Teaching Education related school

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students

3. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

4. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

5. Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching coding to students, or relevant experience in teaching other subjects e.g. Math, English, Physics, ICT

6. Knowledge of coding / robotics competitions, boot camps, hackathons, or other relevant events is a plus
