Role Description: The English Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, teaching English to students of various levels, providing constructive feedback to students and parents, and collaborating with other teachers and staff to ensure the success of the program. Responsibilities: 1. Teach I Can Read Literacy Courses Work with children aged 2.5 to 18 years old Teach pre-reading skills using the I Can Read® System Teach reading and comprehension skills Teach writing skills, including grammar, editing, and publishing Teach oral presentation and communication skills Help children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior 2. Conduct Assessments and Trial Classes Conduct initial assessments and Trial Classes for all incoming students Regularly assess students during classes to monitor individual progress 3. Communication Maintain regular, open communication with parents through meetings and progress/term reports Keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update records when a student is ready for promotion Attend regular Learning Centre Team meetings 4. Contribute to Student Growth and Retention Increase sign-ups by maximizing the assessment process Minimize withdrawals by maximizing the teaching process 5. Contribute to Centre Promotional Events or Activities Participate in events such as Open House, Competitions, Festivals, etc.
