Ideal Candidate Profile: Holds a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or facilities project management within the retail, F&B, or commercial fit-out sector. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, MEP systems, and cost structures specific to retail or food & beverage environments. Proficient in reading technical drawings and using cost estimation tools or software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, or specialized estimating tools). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Able to communicate effectively across departments and with external vendors or contractors. Willing to travel for site assessments and coordination with project stakeholders when required. Job Role: Prepare detailed cost estimates for fit-out, renovation, and construction of new store locations and facility upgrades, covering civil works, MEP, and equipment installation. Analyze architectural and technical drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare itemized cost breakdowns and bills of quantity (BOQ). Collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure cost estimates align with design intent, technical feasibility, and operational requirements. Source, evaluate, and benchmark pricing data from vendors, contractors, and suppliers to maintain up-to-date cost references. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, verify measurements, and validate design assumptions as needed. Review project proposals and assist in the preparation of budget submissions and capital expenditure justifications. Provide support in tendering processes, including comparing vendor quotations, clarifying scope, and recommending optimal cost-effective solutions. Monitor project costs and report deviations between budget estimates and actual expenditures, providing analysis and corrective suggestions.
