Preschool Teacher

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 3–6. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. The teacher works collaboratively with families and staff to support each child’s learning journey and school readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a daily curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters curiosity, independence, and respect.

• Plan and lead hands-on activities that promote literacy, numeracy, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

• Observe and assess children’s progress; maintain accurate records and portfolios.

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development and classroom activities.

• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.

• Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to plan events, field trips, and special programs.

• Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and equipment.

• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs as required.

Qualifications:

• S1/S2 degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.

• State teaching certification (Sertifikat Pendidik) or license (if applicable).

• Prior experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.

• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
