- Improve hardware designs to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency while addressing environmental and logistical challenges in rural communities - Conduct hardware maintenance for 10 units of the older WateriQ version including procurement, reporting, and firmware updates - Develop, test, and iterate loT Water|Q hardware components-such as sensors, communication modules, solar controllers, and mounting systems-in collaboration with manufacturing partners - Create clear, detailed documentation for hardware/firmware designs and testing procedures to support knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance - Collaborate with the product manager, software engineers, and manage two field team members to ensure seamless integration of the loT system into solar-powered water systems; provide technical support, training materials, and sessions for installation, troubleshooting, and sustainable operation - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field - Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on loT systems or related technologies - Knowledge of solar energy systems, including MPPT controllers, battery management systems (BMS), PCB design and off-grid configurations, is a plus - Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and development platforms - Good communications skill and maintain good partnership with other stakeholders - Have managerial skills to lead the field team is a plus point - Strong technical knowledge of sensors, racking systems, communication modules, and solar controllers - Experience with hardware testing techniques, including circuit debugging, signal analysis using oscilloscopes - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Demonstrated passion for leveraging technology to create social impact and drive sustainable community solutions
