Mandarin Translator

Job Description:

1. On-Site Interpretation: Provide real-time verbal interpretation during site inspections, safety briefings (HSE), and technical coordination meetings between Chinese engineers and local staff.

2. Technical Translation: Translate project blueprints, construction manuals, and daily site reports from Mandarin to Bahasa Indonesia.

3. Expatriate Support: Assist Chinese management in navigating local administrative tasks and coordinating with local vendors or subcontractors.

4. Liaison Officer: Act as a bridge to resolve any cultural or language-based misunderstandings within the project team.

5. Reporting: Prepare periodic progress reports in Mandarin for submission to the Head Office in China.

Job Requirement:

1. Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience as a Mandarin Translator/Interpreter.

2. Certification: Must hold a minimum HSK 4 certificate (or higher) from an official/formal institution.

3. Language Proficiency: Strong command of Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and verbal).

4. Flexibility: Must be willing to travel for business trips or field assignments as required.

5. Preferred Candidate: Male candidates are preferred for this position.

6. Skills: Ability to translate technical documents, letters, and provide real-time interpretation during meetings.

7. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction terms (e.g., subcontractor, site plan, procurement, civil works).

8. Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive company data and contracts with high integrity.

9. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
