MEP Engineer (Office Interior/Fit Out)

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Office Interior Fit-Out or high-rise building projects. Proficient in English (spoken, written, and read) – mandatory. Proficient in reading and interpreting AutoCAD drawings – mandatory. Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical wiring & single line diagram, fire alarm systems) and IT works (Server, CCTV, Access Door, Router, VC equipment). Exceptional problem-solving skills regarding site constraints and spatial limitations. Strong communication skills to negotiate with building landlords and consultant teams. Physically fit and able to meet tight deadlines while handling multiple tenders simultaneously. Possession of a valid SIM A and/or SIM C (driver's license) is preferred. Responsibilities: Design & Technical Review: Review MEP design drawings and specifications to ensure feasibility and coordination with interior architectural layouts. Site Supervision: Supervise on-site MEP installations including HVAC, electrical power distribution, lighting systems, fire fighting/protection, and plumbing. Project Coordination: Liaise with Interior Designers, Architects, and Building Management to resolve site clashes and technical discrepancies. Contractor Management: Oversee MEP sub-contractors to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and adheres to project timelines. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, Fire Life Safety (FLS) regulations, and health and safety standards. Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing & commissioning process for all MEP systems and manage the snagging list through to final rectification. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, manage technical submittals, and ensure accurate As-Built drawings for final handover.
