Job Description

The Camp Operational Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of the camp. This role is responsible for overseeing logistics, hospitality, safety, facilities and infrastructure, human resources coordination, budgeting, and operational excellence across all camp programs. The ideal candidate is an active, detail-oriented, proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment where education, sustainability, and hospitality intersect.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Logistics Oversee all aspects of daily camp operations, including administration, accommodation, safety, transportation, facilities, kitchen, maintenance, IT, and security. Ensure operational systems, procedures, and policies are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the camp’s sustainability values. Oversee landscape planning, building and maintenance, as well as operations.

2. Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and support the operations and facility team, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability. Collaborate closely with program facilitators and administration to ensure operational readiness for each program.

3. Financial & Resource Management Develop and manage operational budgets and expenditures. Manage vendor relationships and inventory management aligned with sustainability practices.

4. Safety & Compliance Oversee risk management procedures and ensure readiness for emergency response.

5. Sustainability & Innovation Uphold and champion the company’s commitment to sustainability in all operations.
