Power BI Developer Analyst

We are seeking a Power BI Developer (Freelance, Full-Time) to join our fast-paced financial services team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing interactive dashboards and reporting tools for a new Forex Underlying Check System. This system will monitor and validate underlying documents that support foreign exchange (forex) transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Indonesia).

In addition to the underlying system, you will also help build and maintain dynamic dashboards that visualize key business metrics—such as transaction volumes, client numbers, and performance trends—empowering stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Requirements Core Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development

• Strong skills in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling

• Experience building interactive dashboards and visual reports for finance or compliance teams

• Ability to translate business rules and validation logic into visualizations and dynamic data flows

• Proficient in SQL and integrating Power BI with relational databases or APIs

• Familiarity with ETL processes and connecting to multiple data sources (e.g., Excel, SQL Server, SharePoint)

Domain Knowledge:

• Experience working with financial data, preferably foreign exchange (forex) or treasury operations

• Understanding of underlying documents (e.g., invoices, loan agreements, purchase orders)

• Awareness of compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., Bank Indonesia forex transaction rules)

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and data integrity

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment

• Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams (Finance, Treasury, IT, Compliance)

• Nice to Have: Experience with OCR tools or AI-powered document validation

• Familiarity with Power Automate / Power Apps

• Knowledge of data security and role-level access (RLS)
