Serata Engineering (serata.co.id) is looking for a Sales Engineer for Surabaya placement. With the growing market in the marine industry, The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales growth of marine generator sets and related marine equipment & supplies. This role combines technical knowledge with strong commercial acumen to identify opportunities, develop relationships with shipyards, vessel owners, and marine contractors, and provide reliable product solutions tailored to customer needs.


Responsibilities:





Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for marine gensets, engines, and auxiliary equipment.



Identify and approach new customers including shipyards, shipping lines, ship owners, and marine contractors.



Prepare technical and commercial proposals in coordination with engineering and procurement teams.



Conduct product presentations, technical consultations, and site visits to understand customer requirements.



Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure long-term business partnerships.



Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.



Support after-sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product reliability.



Qualifications:





Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.



Minimum 2 years of experience in sales of marine equipment, gensets, or related products.



Strong understanding of marine propulsion and auxiliary systems (genset, pumps, control systems, etc.).



Proven ability to translate technical specifications into commercial solutions.



Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.



Proactive, target-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team environment.



Willing to travel domestically and internationally for customer visits or exhibitions.
