Responsibilities: Conduct and facilitate risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies. Implement and maintain a robust safety management system, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures. Identify potential hazards associated with chlor-alkali processes, including chemical handling, electrical systems, and construction activities, and implement appropriate control measures. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations, codes, and standards. Develop and deliver SHE training programs for construction personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and awareness. Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring personnel are adequately trained and equipped to handle potential emergencies. Coordinate SHE activities with other disciplines, such as engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless integration of safety measures. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field Minimum 7 years of experience in safety engineering or a related role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance Have the K3 specialist certifications (OHS Specialist and or Fire Specialist) Experience in Petrochemical or chemical industry is a must Understanding of basic process safety and hazard recognition principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in process safety or related engineering field Familiarity with safety regulations and standards such as OSHA, EPA, and NFPA Willing to work as contract based (1 year), and this position will be placed at site office project.
