Senior Back End Engineer (KLI-89)

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Own PostgreSQL database schemas, migrations, and performance.

• Develop business logic for contracts, invoicing, financial calculations, credit checks, and refinancing.

• Build and maintain integrations with CRM, credit bureaux, workflow engines, and external systems.

• Develop and maintain APIs and GraphQL schemas.

• Review code and ensure quality, architecture, and financial logic are correct.

• Build unit and integration tests for critical backend functionality.

• Work closely with engineering teams in Berlin and product/operations teams in Switzerland.

• Contribute to an AI-assisted, specification-driven development process.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Backend Engineering.

• Strong recent experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Mandatory: Experience in Fintech or Financial Services, such as banking, lending, payments, leasing, or insurance.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, transactions, and migrations.

• Experience with Prisma is a plus.

• Strong understanding of Clean, Layered, or Hexagonal Architecture.

• Experience building and maintaining third-party integrations and APIs.

• Strong testing and code review practices.

• Experience using AI coding assistants or agents in production is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Professional English communication skills.

• Willing to work onsite in South Jakarta, Monday–Friday, 11:00–19:00 WIB.
